This webinar gave me several takeaways that have been very helpful –
1. The tactical breathing helps anxiety from getting out of control.
2. The “change your brain” philosophy. I was beginning to think of every worst case scenario with the worst possible outcome and this reset my thinking to envision the best possible outcome.
3. The statement about yawns being contagious and to make your leadership style contagious – this made me realize that if I worry and am afraid my medics will be as well. They look to me for leadership and I must project positivity and strength.
4. Last but not least – The Wheel of Awareness. I absolutely LOVE this tool! I find that it is helpful in releasing stress at anytime during the day and if done right before going to bed it is helpful to relax your mind and increase the quality of sleep through increased amount of sleep and decreased amount of bad dreams.
