You ask if any of the stress management techniques discussed during your web-based seminar align with managing stress while flying fighters.  Yes, some stress management technics were specifically discussed and other technics to handle both intense and long duration stress were mentioned generally.

One of the techniques you specifically mentioned for managing stress is the scrunching up of your toes inside your shoes while at the podium delivering a speech.  This relates directly to instruction given while I was in the pre-contact position to air-to-air refuel for the first time and my Instructor Pilot said, “Wiggle your toes in your boots.” It worked immediately to relieve the tension of my first attempt to air refueling under a KC-135 tanker over the Gulf of Mexico.

 I learned from your webinar that I am lengthening my telomeres.  I like telling people that.
